2025 Q4 Newsletter
Message from Executive Director
As we close out the fourth quarter, I want to take a moment to thank our supporters, partners, and board members for the belief and commitment you have shown to NeuroHope Africa Foundation. This quarter marked a critical period of maturation for NHAF — one defined less by launch activities and more by strengthening our foundation, clarifying our long-term vision, and deepening the partnerships that will carry this work forward.
Because of your support, we are entering the next phase of our work with clarity, momentum, and confidence in what we are building together.
Quarter Four Highlights
Board Expansion and Governance Growth
Since our last newsletter, we have expanded the NHAF Board of Directors, adding members with expertise across medicine, global health, strategy, and nonprofit leadership. This growth strengthens our governance, sharpens our strategic oversight, and positions NHAF for long-term sustainability as we move toward implementation of the East Africa Neuroscience Institute.Fundraising Progress: Over $115,000 Raised and Pledged
We are grateful to share that NHAF has received over $115,000 in contributions and pledges to date. These early investments are a strong signal of confidence in the mission and in the long-term impact of the East Africa Neuroscience Institute. Every contribution brings us closer to turning plans into reality, and we are deeply thankful to those who have stepped forward to support this work at an early and critical stage.Finalization of the EANI 3–5 Year Strategic Plan
This quarter, we finalized a comprehensive 3–5 year strategic plan for the East Africa Neuroscience Institute. This plan outlines a phased, sustainable approach to building clinical capacity, training local healthcare professionals, and establishing EANI as a regional center of excellence for neurological care, education, and research. With this roadmap in place, we are well-positioned to align fundraising, partnerships, and operational planning around a shared long-term vision.Continued Collaboration with Build Health International
We also continued our relationship with Build Health International (BHI), an experienced partner in global health infrastructure development. Ongoing conversations have focused on aligning timelines, refining project scope, and ensuring that EANI is designed to meet both immediate clinical needs and long-term sustainability goals. We look forward to deepening this collaboration as fundraising milestones are reached.
Looking Ahead to the New Year
As we enter the next quarter, our focus will be on continuing to grow our fundraising base, stewarding existing supporters, and preparing for the next phase of technical and operational planning for EANI. With a strengthened board, a clear strategic plan, and trusted partners at the table, we are laying the groundwork for meaningful, lasting impact.
